Explorer Lieutenant Patrick Smith joined the Aurora Police Explorers in February of 2008. He was a graduate of
Explorer Academy Class 08-1.
In 2011 he was promoted to the rank of Explorer Lieutenant and currently serves as the Post Executive Officer.
Explorer Lieutenant Smith is a graduate of the 2008 Law Enforcement Explorer Post Advisors Association of
Colorado Leadership Academy.
He attended the 2009 and 2011 Explorer Tactical Competition in Chandler, Arizona and the Capital Challenge
Explorer Conference in Topeka, Kansas.
Smith has received the following awards: Law Enforcement Training, Community Service, Law Enforcement
Service, and Explorer of the Year in 2010.
He currently attends the Community College of Aurora.
