Explorer Lieutenant Thomas Eliasen joined the Aurora Police Explorers in
January of 2006. He was a graduate of Explorer Academy Class 06-01 were he
earned the Class Top Performer Award for both academic and practical skills.
During his tenure with the Post he has served as a Explorer Agent assigned to
the Training Team. In 2008 he was promoted to the rank of Explorer Sergeant
and in 2009 was promoted to the rank of Explorer Lieutenant and currently
serves as the Post Executive Officer.
Explorer Lieutenant Eliasen attended the Explorer Post Advisors Association of
Colorado's (LEEPAAC) 2007 Leadership Academy and Colorado Explorer
Conference. He also attended the 2008 & 2009 Explorer Tactical Competition in
Chandler, Arizona and EXCON Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Due to his committed service to the Post, Police Department and community he
has received the following awards: Tenure Ribbon, Community Service Ribbon,
Law Enforcement Service Ribbon, Law Enforcement Training Ribbon, Post
Service Ribbon, Leadership Award and Advisors Commendation .
He currently attends the Community College of Aurora
