Explorer Academy Class 10-1 will begin January 9, 2010. Classes will be held every Saturday from
8:00AM to 5:00PM at the Aurora Police Training Academy, which is located at 13328 East Montview
Boulevard.

Explorer Recruit Uniform Requirements:
The Explorer polo, t-shirt, and sweatshirt will be provided on the first day of the Academy. Explorer
Recruits are required to purchase the other items. Most of the items can be purchased at any Police
supply store or Army surplus store. A flashlight and handcuffs are recommended but not required.
These items can be purchased at any police supply store or army surplus store. The Aurora Police
Department uses Neves Uniforms INC to purchase it uniforms and equipment. They are located at
5120 Osage Street # 200 in Denver.
There will be physical fitness training at the end of each meeting. Explorer Recruits should always
have some type of work out clothes accessible to them.
Explorer Recruits should also be prepared to dress for inclement weather since some training is
held outdoors.
- Explorer Polo Shirt
- Explorer T-Shirt
- Explorer Sweatshirt
- Navy blue BDU uniform pants
- Plain black leather uniform velcro belt or plain black leather belt with plain silver belt buckle
- Black socks
- Plain, black, round toed boots
